Being new to Silver Bella....my first time attending I had a big sister to help. My big sister was so very sweet, I regret not getting to spend more time with Jana Perenchio, we did get to exchange gifts. I made her a vintage perfume bottle and gave me a Bella Survivor Kit
My big sister was so thoughtful, look at all these yummy goodies and treats, thank you so much Jana! You are so sweet....
Here is Jana with her Texas Mum she received from her swap partner. I can not believe there were so many gorgeous swaps. I wished I had participated in more....
My room mate Vicki Flinchum said she loved red so I packed her a little vintage purse bursting with yummy red goodness and a handmade redwork pillow. I hope she like it...
She made me this pretty corsage of vintage paper and glitter in my favorite colors of course pink!
That evening after we checked in to our beautiful hotel suite, heres a photo outside our room looking into the lobby the swaps began.....amazing, amazing let me tell you. The crown swap that I entered was scheduled to begin around midnight yikes! It was worth staying up for so much adrenalin
Here is Barbara who just could wait to open her crown, I know how she felt...She loved loved her pretty

I so wanted to knab this beautiful box made by Shea's mother Debra, for Heather Ales
We sent are likes and dislikes to the hostest and they all did a wonderful job
This was all hand beaded by Debra, I was stunned and in awe as was everyone! Just gorgeous
This crown was especially made by Heather Ales for Amanda Willey. She took photos from her blog of her family to make this for Amanda. I think she was so happily surprised!
I love all this pink yumminess...how can you not? This was made by Robin, if you know for who please let me know in the comments (Sorry didn't catch your name)
This nature theme crown was an amazing creative beauty.....so uniquely fitting a Queen
She was so happy with her little chicka dee glittered tiara too...
So romantic with this cream colored laces, it perfectly matched her gorgeous satin kimono
Go figure that....
I had the chance to spend some time with the sweet Marie and she truly is a beautiful lady...
I love that pink antique fringe on the lovely crown, Way to go Marie Whoa who!
Her favorite color was purple, the color of Royalty, she felt like a Queen in this made just for her...
I heard the first crown her partner made met with a tragedy and Marie stayed up all night creating this beauty for her...
This was so pretty in burgundy and golds.......I love this one too
This crown was also all hand beaded, the time and effort that went into this sweet thing. I think she approves...
This is Lonnie with her beautiful blingy green fleur de lis....
This was over the top gorgeous the N was encased in a beautiful solder bevel....so lovely

Last spring I decided I would like to attend Silver Bella in Omaha, Nebraska...
I can't believe that time has passed so quickly and that I am gathering my crafting and art supplies...
I finished my last swap in which we will trade with 26 others making a card with a letter of the alphabet
My letter was D, it was fun but so glad its done and I am now scrambling for through my stash of vintage supplies linens and laces, oh what to bring?
A bit of this....
I want to take everything, but I don't think it will all fit...
Is anyone else out there having this dilema? Yikes decisions, decisions! Pinkie

I have to say that Autumn is my favorite time of year....the weather, the changing of leaves and being raised on a farm the beauty of harvest
My mom was having a party so I snapped a few photos of her fall decorations....
Something about having guest over makes you get in the mood to decorate and pretty everything up
My sister Rene', the gourmet loves to cook and was in charge of the menu
I know angels do gather around my moms for sure....
View from her front porch
A few of the party goers....My daughter Heidi, niece Chelsea and my youngest Liam
It was a wonderful day, but over too soon
Down at the store I took a few picts of my Halloween decorations. Thought you'd like to see a peek. The
shop has been undergoing a makeover and lots of changes....
Aren't they the cutest little couple you ever seen?
I have been so busy, I don't know where time goes....I never seem to have enough
In a couple of weeks I will be leaving to Silver Bella can't wait!
Here's a look at one of the swaps I am in....I finished one and still am working on another yikes!
Hope she likes and hopes she's not peeking...
Hope you enjoy this time of year and a Happy Harvest to you Pinkie

I love old books, especially children's stories.....
I was asked by a neighbor to help with a yard sale, little did I know that I would be embarking on an amazing treasure hunt....
I don't think I have ever seen such an amazing collection of books, old and new on almost any and every
subject
I just wanted to sit and ponder through the pages, but I was supposed to be helping with a yard sale...
Well at the end of the day I still was amazed to find a few hidden treasures...
One of my most favorites these antique French story books...
Of course I can't read the print, the pictures say if all....
Only two families have ever lived in this home over the last 100 years....
Many treasures and memento of their lives were left to tell an amazing story. I will have to share that
in the next post...The lady who last lived there was named Mary, she was a kindred spirit, a lover of dolls
These darling little one were kept in their original box, I don't think they were ever played with...
Many people rummaged through the house trying to find a treasure to make of their own
This I found in a pile discarded unstrung in pieces. Isn't she sweet? Her tag says she's a
storybook Muffie. I put her back together...
This dolly is know as "Mein Liebling", I recognized her as soon as I saw her...She was
unwanted too. I guess know one knew how to restring her and put her back together.
Her name means "My Darling" in Germany.....
As the day flew by I managed to pick up a few little trinkets...
An 1800's autograph album and a collection of poems written by one of families daughters
A wonderful German silver purse and many pieces of beautiful antique silk fabrics...
Old post cards...
And religious cards...
There is always many feeling, mixed with sadness when someones life is left....I do believe they
would be happy to know that they have found a new home with someone who considered them truly
treasured
A few more dolls I found in a garbage pile.....
Yes, can you believe I found these in a heap of trash at the end of the day? I dug until I found all their missing arms and legs, one's head is shattered....
The arms are missing from both these Japan babies....
The vibrant colors of these poppies hand carved into a rack and box are truly works of art and this
awesome velvet hat was found in a trunk of old clothing that I'll have to share in another post....
I have to say that this was one of the most amazing treasure hunts of my life! Who would know it would just be down the street?
I have been getting ready for autumn in our little shop and cleaning at home, so back to work and enjoy your week Pinkie

(Downtown Fort Bragg)
We had a wonderful vacation at the ocean, the weather was beautiful, the beach relaxing and time spent with family priceless...

I do miss the coastal haven, beautiful flowers and warm sands, but it nice to be home again
Watched lots of videos, one of my all time favorites Fried Green Tomatoes...
Don't you just love this movie?
My favorite part is when Evelyn rams the vw in the parking lot, I must confess I know how she felt
I had time to spend making dolly dress for some new creations...
Now that I am home I plan on having some time to sew...
I have so many things I want to do I have to focus....isn't that alway how it is?
Well on to a new season of time...I love the fall think its most favorite time of year
Some wildflowers my son and daughter picked on a hike at camp. They are sitting on our rv table

Washed up on the sands by the cool waters of the Pacific....
Souvenirs invoking memories and her beauty...
A child's gathered sea treasure....
She is even clothed in the ocean's beauty...
Umm, I can even taste of her saltiness...
And her amazing beauty!

My daughter Savannah has graduated! I can't believe how fast time goes by. Here she is in the pink dress with her classmates at baccalaureate.
Here is one of her graduation pictures, I love how this captures her, she is very quite, not shy and quite the teaser....
I am so proud of her, she graduated with honors and will be attending junior college near by in the fall .
Vanna wants to go into law enforcement
I snapped some picts at the graduation ceremony but my camera wasn't cooperating, we had a nice party
afterwords with family and friends. I will have three in college this year whew!
I have been busy with the shop and getting ready for vacation at the ocean...we purchased an r.v that needs alitte renovating. I have been decorating and look forward to spending some time with the family at the beach and enjoying some of those lazy days of summer....Pinkie

I found a china cupboard....it will hold I lot of dishes
As you know I have a passion for pink....I also have a thing for roses. I decided to sort out all my china, teapots and glass to arrange and keep safe in my new cabinet
I love to hunt for treasure and find most of them at yard sales, flea markets and thrifts stores.
I like to visit antique stores to look, but very rarely to I purchase something there..
In the corner the covered candy dish is a Fenton piece I found last weekend at a yardsale
The victorian ruffled brides basket was a gift from my sister Rene, she found in at a yard sale
I think it one of my most favorite pieces I own
Well, when I start to decorate and arrange I get lost in time, I spent all morning in this cupboard and it's time to go off to work. I enjoyed this project (sorry about the light I had to use the flash it was so dim)
Well, what do you think? Hope you have a wonderful week Pinkie Denise

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day. I got up early and went down to the Sacramento Flea Market
The weather was perfect, not too hot or cold. We arrived about 6:45, most of the vendors were just beginning to set up
I went with my friend Sheri, who lives down the street, we decided if we got lost we would meet in the middle
Off we went our separate ways, there are around 300 and something booths, so much treasure to rummage through
I try and scan everything quickly and move on to the next so not to miss anything, well this is hard because I have a tendency to get stuck in some of my favorite places
Many of the vendors are out shopping themselves looking for bargins and if you find something you'll just have to backtrack and hope it's still there
I made a few new friends, recognized a few old ones and even met my cousins and aunt from home there.
They were just arriving to spend the day together and we were leaving to make it home for mother's day
barbeque
My friend and I decided we had to leave by twelve at the latest, well she was trying to find me and had made to the end. I was still in the first block...there are two city blocks that lay under the freeway
I had already filled up my vintage shopping cart to the brim but moved on still treasure hunting
and manage to stuff few more tinkets inside
We looked at our watches as we reached the end and it was only ten...
I went back to the few booths that weren't set up and well they were pretty picked over
I found everything was so reasonable priced that I had to budget myself....there were just so many great
deals
We loaded up and made a trip back to pick up the large items and were back home at noon just in time for lunch with our family
I truly had a wonderful Mothers Day doing some of my favorite things and with my loved ones, I am so blessed
The day before on Saturday I also went out with my mom and sister to yard sales and we had so much fun
We made it to a couple of amazing ones, I'll share that on another post
I did have a busy weekend but there was also time to relax and share too, thats what made it so special
remembering to have balance and whats truly important
I spent the afternoon at my moms house, had a nice surprise when I came home a neat and tidy house
so I enjoy the evening watching a movie with the kids
Now finding a place for my new treasure, really thats the fun part
Some will find a home here along with my collections and some will make it down to the shop to find new homes
One thing I never pass up is some sparkly vintage bling....there were so many vintage jewelry booths and dollar tables, well I had to control myself
These will probably make it on some my creative projects
I would have to say these were my favorite finds, three vintage slips, a couple of can cans and a beautiful silk twenties one
I think these will be perfect for my new girls....a couple of vintage dress forms I found down the street from our shop
You know I'll have to give them a special name and pretty them up, I am so excited because I have been looking for them for awhile now
Not only did I find them just steps away , the perfect silky and fru fru and fluffly layers to dress them with
They'll make their debut when they're ready.....Have a wonderful week and please take some time to relax and just enjoy yourself! Hugs Pinkie(These are my flea market finds, I don't know what would be my favorite, let me know what yours is)

Hope everyone is having a wonderful May....I have been busy with family, my daughter Savannah will be graduating from High School and my son from UC Merced. We have been busy with our little shop too.
With summer on it's way I have been trying to organize my craft room, yikes!
I have had a little bit of creative time at the shop and finished my paper pom's from Pam Garrison's blog.
She gave a tutorial on how to make these fun fluffy papers You can use almost any papers, tissue, wrapping paper, sheet music, cup cake liners, coffee filters, tulle, and even fabric for your circles...
I even stained my papers a bit with coffee for an antiqued effect...
We hung them in the shop window with the gloves and hankies...
Hope you'll try some they make me smile.....Have a wonderful weekend Pinkie
