Sean was only barely three years old when I was hired to watch after him at preschool. I remember meeting
him with so much anxiety and hesitation. Would I do everything right, what would I do....He was born very
premature and weighted on two and half pounds. He was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and unable to walk.
He had the most beautiful carrot orange red hair and infectious smile....We became best friends. I was to
help Sean with school work, he was severely sight impaired and I would be his legs, we would play, run and he loved
riding his special bike, like most boys he loved speed and going fast. I went to school every year with him from preschool to 4th grade. He was almost like my own child I became so attached. He is so bright and has
the most wonderful outlook on life. I thought I was there to teach him , but in turn I was the student. He
taught so much about life, patience, perseverance and determination. His sense of humor never ceased to
amaze me. Sean was growing up and getting bigger and harder for me to transport and lift, my life circumstances for me, had changed. When I started work I didn't have six children at home and two babies that needed me. I made the decision to take a leave.....I cried and cried, but knew I had done my job and
he would be a success at whatever he want to do. My mom was visiting her cousin at the hospital the other
day and ran in to Sean. He told her to tell Mrs. Nelson that he loves her very much........I love you to Sean!
I have three girls, Heidi Maryanne, Savannah Rachelle, and Mia Emyle....Heidi is 19 and goes to college at
Chico State, Vanna is 16 and loves to play sports and is hoping for a Softball Scholarship to college, and Mia
is 15 and wants to attend Davis to be? not sure what something in engineering or maybe medical....Every day her major concern is her prom dress........When they were little I alway made them matching dresses for Christmas, Easter, then it was easier to by them.....Now they just want these beautiful Prom dresses to
wear only once and they seem to be way out of my budget....we are working on it last year I had three to buy. I shouldn't be complaining now I only have two to buy.
I apologize I said I would have my Easter up in the shop it just was too crazy this weekend, we had 2 extra girls over and because of the raining and flooding they couldn't go home. Heidi and her friend came home to
visit and we had a Scholarship Pancake Breakfast to do early Saturday Morning, run home change and a long
time family friend had a memorial service, then my husbands niece, who is Nomalaki Indian was being named in a Baby Naming Ceremony. I was a very nice dinner and I enjoyed the tradition of the ceremony
they name her Little Star in Indian I can't say the name........Church and Youth Group I lead the teens and
they run a coffee shop after service and the weekend was gone.........So this morning I am working on the
Shop items and hopefully there will be something on the shelves......thanks for your patience Pinkie
This is Vanna and Mia and the end of Basket ball season they have already started playing softball, I can't
wait, I love going to see their games, A bit more action than little league which Ryley Joe is starting to
play, he is just 5......Happy Monday, I just love Mondays don't you?
I remember visiting an old antique shop with my Grandma Lena, she asked the owner if he had old postcards, she collected stamps and was looking for postage marks. I was interested in the bright colors and writing on the back.....I love old post cards, certain colors, flowers especially roses will catch my eye.
I love to sit and read the stories and writing that gives you a glimpse into to another time and someones
life....This is my post card album I keep my most favorites in here, mostly roses and brightly colored children at holidays...Some just collect the pristine and uncirculated cards, I prefer the ones with wear and
writing on the back....
I have pulled out some Easter cards and will be offering them in my store:Pinkpomegranate.net if your
interest...

We had a lot of entries for the 100th post and Valentines Giveaway......Our winner is #123 Susan at Bigbluefrog.wordpress.com/Congratulations Susan and enjoy..........
My brother Shawn, sister Rene' and I are all within three years of age......we were very close growing up
they called me the bossy one and my sister watched over my brother they are only a year apart...........
My brother loves to cook, when we were little we were always shoving him out of the way and wouldn't
let him join us in the kitchen.....he would be in tears.....Now, he is a wonderful cook and when we have
dinners, he is always called on to plan the soiree. The men at our church were putting on a dinner for
the lady for Valentine's they cooked planned the meal and served and waited on us hand and food, it
was wonderful, everything, the food , the decorations, they even handed us a box of candy and flowers
as we walked in the door and escorted us to our seats. We were definitely pampered! The menu: Prime rib
(my favorite) or chicken, rice pilaf, baked potatoes, asparagus, green salad, with avocados, orange and jicama and little red onion with raspberry vinaigrette. Oh, and dessert cheesecake and cream puffs, I was
in heaven, I almost forgot the hordeveurs, they were over the top, hot salmon and artichoke dip, spinach and leek dip, shrimp mold, all kinds of cheese crackers and a Mexican layered dip and vegetable plate.
They certainly out did themselves, it was a wonderful blessing...........Thank you Shawn I love you.........
I have to confess, we helped put out the decorations while they were preparing the food
but my brother picked everything out, I think he did a great job........(my mom) making
sure everything is just right.
and the flowers, we wrapped and tied them with ribbon to hand out to the ladies..........
Oh, how I love pink roses!
Me, my sister Rene', my sister-in-law Traci (Shawn's wife, they have three boys) and my mom Mary
