Kentucky Derby Hat Swap
I joined Bristol's Kentucky Derby Hat Swap. We were to make a hat or crown for our partner and send it to them this week. Then on Friday they will be judging them and have prizes. I had so much fun making this
crown for my partner Jenny at Pinkaboo, I hope she likes it...Of course I had to make a crown instead of a
hat, I do love vintage hats though and Jenny loves pink .....be sure a travel around to visit everyones creation which will be up on Friday....I will be busy so am posting mine a little early enjoy...Pinkie
I used inspiration from Somerset Magazine and Lori Oles chicken wire crowns to make my base, then covered it will antique book pages and vintage wallpaper...
I edged a Victorian tradecard with old lace and crepe paper..
Cute little bird atop the crown and vintage millinery flowers..
Vintage lace and oodles of shades of pink silk ribbons...
I love this vintage velvet roses, don't you?
This is the back of the crown...
Thank you Bristol for hosting such a fun swap and I hope you love it Jenny!
