Azores

My grandparents were from the island of Terceira in the Azores. This August I had the pleasure of traveling

to this beautiful island to find my roots and heritage

I had heard of the place the old country as the affectionately referred to it...was nothing like imagined

This is the city Angra Herismo and in the background where the rainbow is my Grandfather Luiz village

Feteira

In his village he told of the elau of the cabras (islet of the goats) look down to the ocean and my house sits

facing the middle of the split ( My grandfather would be 108 if he was alive)

To be there walking the steps and reliving the memories was something I don't think I could ever put into

Marie goes to Silver Bella

Crazy Creating

Yeah that's me trying to finish my swaps I have joined for Silver Bella! Last year as a
first timer I only joined two swaps. This year I wasn't going to be left out. I think I went a little crazy ok but it will be worth it.
I even made a few extras for my vendor table... I am having fun though and can't wait to meet new friends. Have a wonderful weekend

I stopped by my favorite thrift and found a baggie of old Christmas ornaments. At first glance not too exciting but after a closer look I saw these sparkling lovelies.
My daughter Heidi found this lovely birdie nest on one of her adventure this weekend. She brought it home for my surprise. I couldn't of received a better birthday present! Yes, I will be 48 tomorrow. I has a wonderful weekend with my kidos they traveled for a very special
