All the gorgeous goodies are from my partner Lisa Campbell. I did a Easter swap with the sweet Cassandra Vancuren. We were to decorate an egg carton and fill it with vintage goodies and pastel bits. My partner Lisa totally got my style! She sent so many lovely treats. Thank you so much Lisa. Now I need to get busy in mine for my two partners.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines Day spent with the ones you Love! I went to a nice dinner with my husband nice and quite and little time alone to talk and visit.

I just love clothing...especially antique and vintage. I used to make all my own clothes and enjoy creating doll costumes. I have been collecting vintage beaded sweaters and old dress for years. I have many fru fru prom dress. My daughters love to dress up in them. The other day we took some Picts at the new shop. I decided to part with a few of them ...so hard. There's just something about those layers and layers of tulle and sparkle!
I am enjoying my Saturday...there is just something about the beginning of the weekend. My new store is moving along slowly is seems and time is not obliging. I must remember to enjoy the process and let my creativity flow..not let stress take over and enjoy my lazy Saturday. I don't know where this summer has gone...so many changes are coming to our home
My son graduate from College and started
a new job. He is living in the Bay area in Mountain View working in a Cancer Research Lab. I went down South to visit my daughters College and set her up for school in the fall in Merced. I cancelled my trip to the ocean as I am travelling with my mom brother and sister to visit our homeland where my Grandparents came from. They are Azorean and we will be visiting there in August for several week.
We are excited but with school starting while I am out of the Country so much preparation. I decided to close. my shop for the summer and hope to return in the fall. We have been visiting family and finding out so much about family history and how exciting the connections we're making. I hope to blog all about it and journal while traveling to the Islands. While driving along on this road of life you sometimes hit an unexpected bump...or come up on a unseen curve ahead. Well, that is what happened. This Monday morning my husband left for work as usual. He leaves early and has about a half an hour drive. I was getting ready to take my youngest off to pre-school and his boss pulled up in his work truck...I had this sinking feeling that what he had to tell me could not be good. He told me Brad had become sick on the way to work and when he got there he was not good, he told him to get into the truck and brought back to town to the hospital. My husband is never sick...I rushed out there as fast as I could and was told that he was having chest pain and had been given nitroglycerin.
I can't tell you what fear came over me, my father-in law died right after I met my husband at 46 and my own father at 41, both of heart attacks. My husband spent the night for testing and heart monitoring. Many friends and family were praying...visited and even sent food....I can't tell you what a blessing they all were at this time. My husband is now home and doing ok, we are so happy to have Our Daddy back, he is such a blessing to us. We love him very much! Sometimes we take so much for granted, I thank God everyday for my wonderful family. Pinkie
The last few weeks have been so hectic....I don't know where time has gone. I would have to say that autumn is my favorite season, but seems I have barely stopped to take a breath to enjoy this beautiful fall weather. I helped my mom, Mary and sister Rene' get ready for a very special family get-to-gather.
We had cousins come up from the San Francisco Bay area to visit and share family history and photos. We
had such a wonderful day. Also our cousins Ann and Judy joined us. We had so much fun hearing Judy share about her exciting trip to France with cousin Corey....I didn't want the day to end. Good friends, loved ones, and wonderful sharing of memories.

When they get old they might come and stay with her...We giggled....We were so busy talking I didn't get
to snap a pict of her beautiful daughter Pamela and grandaughter Nicola.
So intently listening, many memories and lots of love...
Time passed too fast, and end to a beautiful day that will be cherished in our hearts and minds forever...
