Change....

Img_2401

Change is good, sometimes difficult. I think it is the not knowing of what is ahead, we have to trust.
This weekend I went to help my sister move the last of her things out of her house which is about an hour away...

Img_2402

We stopped at a little shop on the way, what pretty things ....I could of gotten in a lot of trouble there

Img_2395

We take one step at a time and move forward to see what awaits us ahead...

Img_2404

My niece Chelsea's playhouse her dad built in their back yard...

Img_2405

My sister was trying to sell her house so she can finish her Victorian she has started to renovate here...
Well, with the housing market they decided to rent instead...

Img_2406

I think the kids are going to miss the pool this summer...

Img_2410

Rene' is a stain glass artisan, she makes and creates magic out of glass and solder.... My job was to pack
her glass, so fragile was each piece. This is a piece she created for the front door...

Img_2408

It looks so different with out all her antique furniture in her parlor...I still see her creative hand.....

Img_2409

She too loves pink and roses.......

Img_2412

Her house awaiting the new occupants...Can't wait to see what she does with her new house, I am sure it
is going to be grand.....

My little friend

7a3f_1

Sean was only barely three years old when I was hired to watch after him at preschool. I remember meeting
him with so much anxiety and hesitation. Would I do everything right, what would I do....He was born very
premature and weighted on two and half pounds. He was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and unable to walk.
He had the most beautiful carrot orange red hair and infectious smile....We became best friends. I was to
help Sean with school work, he was severely sight impaired and I would be his legs, we would play, run and he loved
riding his special bike, like most boys he loved speed and going fast. I went to school every year with him from preschool to 4th grade. He was almost like my own child I became so attached. He is so bright and has
the most wonderful outlook on life. I thought I was there to teach him , but in turn I was the student. He
taught so much about life, patience, perseverance and determination. His sense of humor never ceased to
amaze me. Sean was growing up and getting bigger and harder for me to transport and lift, my life circumstances for me, had changed. When I started work I didn't have six children at home and two babies that needed me. I made the decision to take a leave.....I cried and cried, but knew I had done my job and
he would be a success at whatever he want to do. My mom was visiting her cousin at the hospital the other
day and ran in to Sean. He told her to tell Mrs. Nelson that he loves her very much........I love you to Sean!

frames and fancy ribbons and trims like the dresses of the woman adorned for a night out of serenading...

Well, I guess I am it!

Valentinesswap

Amazingaward

I received this award from sweet Dolly at From My Cherry Heart

Well, I met Dolly from mycherryheart.blogspot.com
she has tagged me and my blog, I guess I am supposed
to tell you seven weird things about myself, and post a link to the person who tagged me Dolly and pick seven more people to tag at the end.....
Here is goes  1. I have a fear of great big dogs and was chased many times by great big ones when I was a child, its ok if I know them but if I don't no way!
                     2. I have a fear of lawn mowers, I have tried to overcome my fear and I just can't when I hear
the engine start I run and hide for cover....
                     3. I am very picky about my furniture and keep covered all the time only when I am having
company do I take them off, I drive my kids crazy about it, just ask them.....
                     4. I love tomatoes, but do not like tomatoe sauce, alway eat my spaghetti with butter and cheese...       5. I am obsessive about my Christmas tree, I have to find the perfect one no matter what,
then it takes me forever to decorate, and I have to have it just right.
                     6. I always have to have everything match, and my clothing has to be acessorized and matching to even down to my shoes and socks.
                     7. I can never ever pass up a yard sale or thrift store, this drives my family crazy!
Well, I really sound kind of OCD but I am not, pretty laid back, and can let everything go
to be creative, laundry and cleaning can wait.......
Well, I hope I did this right, oh, I need to pick seven more people and let them know they
have been tagged.
                      1. Betty at She's so pretty
                      2. Priscilla at Fleamarket Queen
                      3. Heather at Pretty Petals Boutique
                      4. Lori at Fairewindow
                      5. Debra at Hophopjingleboo
                      6. Miss Sandy at Quill Cottage
7.Phylis at Shabby in th City

Do you have any weird quirks? I am sure you a least have one, come on, if you do let me know, its

sort of fun learning about each other...........Enjoy and have a great day Pinkie Denise

Oh, Christmas Tree

09170725f

This weekend we took a trip to the mountains, it only takes about an hour to get  there. We took the kids
and my brother in law , niece and nephews and my brother all went. Well we got a pretty late start and
there was snow on the ground, lets say the kids had fun, I was freezing! After climbing over hill and dale
I had to decide it was getting dark, well we got a tree. It is huge , like  9 ft tall and 8 feet wide, I like a
big tree so will see what happens. I had to rearrange my furniture to get it to fit, wow, I feel like I'm sitting in the forest, no kidding.

Img_0418_2

There it is, we got it inside, tonight I am going to get started on decorating, I hope...........................

Christmas Blessings

4_girls_xmas

This was a very busy weekend for me, this evening as I sat down to write my post I had to stop and ponder
for a moment. I have so much to be thankful for, my husband and wonderful children, my family, my church
my home, our health and well being. As I took a step and ventured into blogland I have met so many new
people, some with incredible stories, of strength and overcoming in life. I feel so fortunate, blessed to be
with my loved ones, sharing, loving and living life to its fullest. It is so cold here tonight and as my daughter and I were driving home this evening a young man jumped out from under a bridge, holding a large cardboard box......was he going to use this as a blanket? Mia said mom that is so sad.....I know I
answered.I will keep in my prayers the others who are alone and in the cold tonight, may they find the peace and true warmth in their hearts..............
