The Workspace

This is where I do my blogging...I have moved my studio into a spare bedroom. It seems like it is taking forever
to get it organized. This is not one of my fortes....
I thought I'd show you a couple picts of my workspace that is organized. I love my new mousepad,  a couple of my favorite things roses and sweet children...
These are one of my latest finds. They were only $4 ....but they were very well worn, I laced them with some ribbon and a frill of lace.

I just love these vintage crochet hangers another thrift find. I like to hang my vintage clothes on these....
and they're  my two  favorite colors
Some great glass buttons on a wonderful card and a sweet little girl figurine  find a place on my cluttered shelf. I already am looking for more storage....
Aren't these should incredible!?I couldn't leave these when I found them at my favorite thrift store....Black silk pumps with embroidered pink roses! I wish they fit, I'd wear them  ooh just too small...
I have collected these cute dolly dresses from the 40's. One is from my husband's Aunt...I want to display them on a clothes line with my dolly clothes pins I found. I could play in my studio all day, just never enough time...Hope you enjoyed the visit and have a great weekend. I am busy getting our R.V ready for our trip to the

Show and Tell Vintage Linens

Welcome to Show and Tell Sunday hosted by Cerri of Little Pink Studio.Today our topic is Vintage Linens.
I love anything handmade, linens, napkins, laces, pillowcases, tablecloths and clothing. I have quite a few,
but nothing compared to my Mother, the Linen Lady. We were gone almost all day yesterday and I didn't have the luxury or time to photograph everything like I would of liked. So here is a peek into her linen closet...This is her upstairs bathroom...

This a beautiful red-work pillow sham, it was well used and loved...

This is a table in my mom's butlers pantry covered in a pretty vintage colorful tablecloth..

This is the hallway where my mother stores alot of her linens, but she also uses them to decorate all over her home..

I wish you could see what is inside this cupboard. I wanted to take them out and look at them all...

These are mostly crocheted tablecloths and the two on the bottom are Madeira work from the Azores Island which are infamous for their handwork...This is where my grandparents came from and I think  this is where the love for vintage handwork was  woven into our heritage....
(The beautiful hand painted painters palette was a gift from my mother's Godchild in France)

I love this sweet pillow, my mom has a collection of these along with bedspreads from the twenty's

This is one of my mom's many apron's, she wears them too.....

A Romantic Surprise

My Mom , sister and I are fortunate enough to live with in walking distance of each other....we visit almost everyday                                             

 

With the encouragement of our lovely cousin we started a blog  ( I am so glad we did)and together we are Pinkpomegranate....

One of our dear blogging friends sent us a message...

Oh, sweet Corey How you can keep a secret... (Fond memories of Corey last summer on her visit)

She said it was hard  not to tell, it was written several months ago before her father became so sick.

I have a secret and I am not going to tell...

We ran to Barnes and Nobles, and what a surprise!

The Busy Little Bunny

This little Bunny Rabbit has been busy...

Oh Little Tweety Bird.......

Isn't this the sweetest card? Well, yes its Monday morning and has been raining and raining, started to
flood us in and the only way out is the freeway.....and more rain is coming. The sun was peeking through
a little this morning and I am looking forward to Spring.........so I decide to do a spring like post.........

Here's my Momma Robin I made , which seems like many a year ago, when my oldest two were little I had

a shop and antique store..................................................................................................

The baby birds are all line up waiting to eat........Sounds so familiar huh.........................................

This is a nest my husband found out in the field when he was working, he knows how much I love them and

brought me this home, now I have started a nest collections with the ones he's found, like I need another

collection!

My husband made these bird houses for me out of old boards and shingles, I decorated them with old hardware, they were fun to make.......................................................................................

Tweety birds do have to have someplace to live you know......

My son Liam is singing while I am posting Mr. Bird, Mr. Bird I love you! He is singing you know...............

A Pinkpomegranate Christmas

I live in a 100 year old Victorian home. My dining room has a built in china cabinet and buffet. I t has
cupboards with stained glass windows. I would sometimes walk by this house, it was abandoned and covered
with wild vines, little did I know that someday I would call it my home........I have been here 15 years now
and three of my children were born here. I love Christmas, my kids tease me saying I leave my decorations
up until Easter, not really but I probably would if I could get away with it. I have been unpacking boxes all
week and still have so much to do, but I will give you a little glimpse of what I've been up to..................

I love brush trees I have collected them for years even before it was popular.....................................

Some of my most favorite ornament I have collected over the years, from tag sales and thrift store

hunting, so fragile I don't put them on the tree anymore..................................................

My Pink Mr. Claus, who would think.........and guess what he has in his pack? The tiniest little pink

pomegranate, for reals! I could believe it when I was putting under the cloche I found it........................

My momma made this snow angel for my Christmas package, I take it out every year..........................

This little booklet was a gift to a little girl from her Sunday school teacher, it has the sweetest pictures
