This week I have been trying to carve away a bit of creative time. I have been working on some Milagros hearts made in an altered art fashion. Bits of this and that
come together to form a heart. I found that it led me to find His goodness, grace and hope to overflowing

I don't know where this summer has gone...so many changes are coming to our home
My son graduate from College and started
a new job. He is living in the Bay area in Mountain View working in a Cancer Research Lab. I went down South to visit my daughters College and set her up for school in the fall in Merced. I cancelled my trip to the ocean as I am travelling with my mom brother and sister to visit our homeland where my Grandparents came from. They are Azorean and we will be visiting there in August for several week.
We are excited but with school starting while I am out of the Country so much preparation. I decided to close. my shop for the summer and hope to return in the fall. We have been visiting family and finding out so much about family history and how exciting the connections we're making. I hope to blog all about it and journal while traveling to the Islands. When I found out there was going to be a crown swap for Silver Bella I just new I had to participate...
My swap partner Tiffany of Shabby Scraps said she liked black, creams and pastels
I started with a wire base and covered it with black netted antique lace embroidered with cream and gold metallic threads...
I gather my vintage images and sheet music, ribbons, buttons and laces and when to work. This was such a fun swap to do...I just loved seeing each and everyone as they unwrapped their crown created especially for them. It was an amazing experience to see how talented these ladies truly are wow!

Being new to Silver Bella....my first time attending I had a big sister to help. My big sister was so very sweet, I regret not getting to spend more time with Jana Perenchio, we did get to exchange gifts. I made her a vintage perfume bottle and gave me a Bella Survivor Kit

That evening after we checked in to our beautiful hotel suite, heres a photo outside our room looking into the lobby the swaps began.....amazing, amazing let me tell you. The crown swap that I entered was scheduled to begin around midnight yikes! It was worth staying up for so much adrenalin
